Hitman John Wick is left for dead,
but he survives, and he recuperates hidden with the Bowery King, who also had a
falling out with the High Table. After licking his wounds, Wick sets out for
revenge on those who wronged him, while fighting for the freedom he so much
longs for. On his path, he finds an old friend, who has been tasked with
killing him.
This fourth installment in the John Wick franchise contains a lot more story, beyond the senseless killing of unknown characters, but it is maybe too much. The story gets convoluted at times, as if they had tried to squeeze two movies into one. All things considered, a decent thrill ride, with some good notes on freedom and redemption that touched my heart.
