Directed by: James Signorelli
Starring: Rodney Dangerfield, Joe Pesci, Geraldine Fitzgerald
Running time: 96 minutes
Monty Capuletti lives
a life of drinking, gambling, irresponsibility and overindulgence. As a
condition to inherit his mother-in-law’s money and business, Monty must change
his ways and become a better man.
This is a vehicle for the Rodney Dangerfield brand of shenanigans. As such, it is actually quite entertaining, albeit a little silly. It most likely would not work with anybody else in the lead role. It was also nice to see a young Joe Pesci here, along with a much younger Jennifer Jason Leigh.
