Flash of Genius tells the story of the legal battle waged by Dr. Robert Kearns
against Ford and other car manufacturers for using an intermittent windshield
wiper based on an idea he patented.
This is your run-of-the-mill underdog story carried much further
than it could be expected by a solid acting performance by Greg Kinnear. Kinnear
manages to bring Kearns’ stubbornness and determination, tinted with a little
paranoia, to life on screen. You could not help root for Kearns, though, often,
you felt like giving him a shake and telling him to settle without risking it
all.
