Based on Susannah Cahalan's memoirs, titled Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness, the film tells the story of this New York Post journalist whose mood and actions started to get really affected by a mysterious disease that was hard to diagnose and that almost spelled the end of her life.

This film has not been treated nicely by critics. Personally, I thought it was fine for what it was. The acting was okay and the story was compelling enough.
