Three years after the release of What, comedian
and musician Bo Burnham is back on Netflix with a new comedy special called
Make Happy. Fans of Burnham’s style will find more of what they love about him.
He is still all over the place, though a little more structured this time
around.
Unlike What, Make Happy starts strong and
then fades more and more to end flatly. Strong moments come in the form of an
ironic song about the difficulty of being a straight white male and in another
ditty about the fakeness of certain country artists.
Overall, this show has its moments, but it
managed to lose my interest every now and then.
